Our Story.
The NZ Session Collective began with a simple question that demanded an answer:
"Why isn't there an easier way to connect New Zealand's incredible musical talent with the opportunities they deserve?"
Ken Naidu, founder and CEO of the NZSC, recognised a frustrating paradox whilst in the trenches of the live music industry. New Zealand is rich with talent, yet finding and connecting with musicians often felt like a chaotic scramble. Musicians as well as venues faced fragmented, inefficient processes, making it harder to tap into the talent that should be at their fingertips.
That insight inspired the creation of The NZ Session Collective: a platform that strips away unnecessary complexity, and the last minute scramble, offering a seamless and curated experience that finally connects musicians to the stages, studios, venues, and audiences they deserve.
We’re not about promotion, or artist management. We’re reimagining how music gets made, heard, and experienced. With Locrian, our proprietary booking app, we provide the tools to do just that: AR-enhanced event planning, real-time calendar syncing, and musicians across all genres, all at your fingertips. It’s live music on demand.
